The crash happened at approximately 2:20 a.m. in the 3100 block of University Drive.

Investigators said the driver of the car told them a tool was stuck under the brake pedal, preventing the vehicle from stopping.

The vehicle jumped a curb, took off and crashed into Pure Life Renal of Miramar at 3180 S. University Dr., according to authorities.

Miramar Firefighters transported the three adult passengers to Memorial Regional Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries, authorities said.

A Local 10 News crew at the scene saw a broken front glass window of the business with a red “dangerous building” sign on one of the glass panels that was not damaged in the crash.

No other details about the accident were immediately released.
